As the Indian fast bowlers dominated the morning session on Day 4 of the Lord’s Test (Sunday, July 13), the players had something equally spicy to look forward to off the field, the lunch menu.

Known for its elite hospitality and culinary finesse, Lord’s Cricket Ground rolled out a mix of Indian favourites and British classics to fuel both teams mid-match.

Food menu for India and England players on Day 4 of 3rd Test revealed

On Sunday, the food menu inside the stadium leaned heavily into Indian flavours, with popular dishes like chicken tikka curry, paneer korma, and daal making their way into the buffet.

England’s catering team also made sure to offer variety, with continental items like fillet of cod, chicken and mushroom lasagne and risotto on the menu.

Here’s a full list of dishes served to players:

  • Starters & Soups:
    • Tomato & Basil Soup (V)
  • Main Dishes:
    • Chicken & Wild Mushroom Lasagne (served with rocket, Parmesan, and caramelised onion ciabatta)
    • Fillet of Cod with crispy whitebait, gremolata, asparagus, courgette, and tartare velouté
    • Chicken Tikka Curry
    • Paneer Korma (V)
    • Butternut Squash & Spinach Girolle Risotto (V) with rocket and Parmesan crisp
    • Lentil Curry
    • Prawns in Marie Rose Sauce
  • Sides:
    • Basmati Rice & Potatoes
    • Mixed Vegetables: Beans, Peas, Sweetcorn & Edamame
  • Desserts & Fruits:
    • Fresh Fruit Salad
    • Greek Yoghurt with Summer Berries

The food wasn't just about taste, it also followed nutritional guidelines suited for international athletes.
Lord’s is a place where food meets tradition. Players eat in their own exclusive dining space that’s managed like a high-end kitchen.

At the same time, guests in the Long Room or corporate pavilions are treated to plated meals prepared by award-winning chefs, including the likes of Tommy Banks and Tom Kerridge.

Visitors seated in public areas also enjoy a range of food options, from pies and barbecues to the more traditional afternoon tea.
