Joe Root has been England's most consistent performer in the Test format over the last two decades. He is the nation's all-time highest run scorer in the longest format and is now slowly closing in on India legend Sachin Tendulkar's tally.

Root's form in the ongoing Test series against India, however, has not been up to the mark. The ace batter has posted only 109 runs in four innings and has only one half-century to his name. His highest score in the series is 53, which he scored in the second innings of the Headingley Test.

India, though, cannot take Root for granted, considering his impeccable record at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground, and there is a good chance that the 34-year-old could regain his form at the Home of Cricket.

Root played at the famous venue for the first time in 2013 against arch-rivals Australia, where he scored a century in his maiden game.

Since the player has appeared in 23 matches thus far, where he scored 2121 runs at an average of 57.64. He has scored eight centuries and as many half-centuries.

Root is known to convert his centuries at Lord's into big scores, with his highest total at the venue being 200 not out against Sri Lanka in 2014.

Indian bowlers need to be cautious ahead of facing the English talisman, who will aim to revive his form from the third Test match.
