The batter from Mumbai has made a significant name for himself in his short red-ball career for India so far. He has managed to catch the eyeballs of the cricketing fraternity with his exceptional performances both at and away from home.

Jaiswal reached a superb hundred in just 127 balls, in a counter-attacking knock during India's second innings at the Oval Test. Post some disappointing returns in the previous few innings, the batter came back in style under tough English conditions and stamped his authority over the hosts.

Jaiswal scored 118 on day 3 at the Oval before being dismissed by a short ball from Josh Tongue. The left-handed batter ended his first tour to England with 411 runs in 10 innings at an impressive average of 41.10. He scored two centuries, the first of which came at Headingley during the first Test.

In his Test career so far, the young 23-year-old batter has played 24 Tests, scoring 2209 runs at a staggering average of 50. Apart from 6 hundreds, the young star has also brought up 2 double tons, and is being looked at as the next big thing in Indian cricket. He is also the joint-fastest Indian opener to reach 1500 Test runs.
