When, where and which cities will host IPL fan parks during 2023 Indian Premier League? image

This year's edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) organise IPL Fan Parks across 45 cities in India, like Surat, Madurai, Dehradun, and Agra, for example.

Fan Parks were accessible to supporters across the country from the first day itself when reigning champions Gujarat Titans took on IPL stalwarts Chennai Super Kings on 31st March. Every weekend these parks will be organised across five cities, with the final on 28 May seeing them held across Jammu, Jamshedpur, Palakkad, Jorhat and Bhopal.

Here's a guide for when and where Fan Parks will be organised and which matches they will cover.

What is an IPL Fan Park?

IPL Fan Parks was an initiative taken by the BCCI in 2015 to help supporters belonging to different parts of India come together and watch their favourite teams live at a particular location. This decision was taken to improve the experience of those fans who were missing out on seeing the action from the stadiums.

Were there IPL Fan Parks last year?

Unfortunately due to the spread of Covid-19, the organisation of Fan Parks was put on hold by the BCCI since 2020 onwards, therefore there weren't any Fan Parks last year. However, this year the authorities have decided to bring them back to improve fan engagement.
