The Legends League recently made headlines when it was hit by controversy. The high-voltage clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan was called off after India's withdrawal from the match.
Why Pakistan don't want to share points with India?
According to reports, several Indian players, including Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, and Harbhajan Singh, withdrew from the scheduled India vs. Pakistan match.
As a result, the WCL committee called off the game and issued an apology to the Indian players for 'unintentionally causing discomfort.'
India's withdrawal from the game comes in the aftermath of the war-like situation between the two nations earlier this year in May.

The Pahalgam attack, followed by India's Operation Sindoor, intensified the political relations between the two countries. Those were cited as the reason for India's withdrawal.
While India was firm in its decision to withdraw, the Pakistan camp didn't seem too happy with the call. WCL informed the Pakistani camp that they'll have to share points with India, to which the Pakistan Champions argued that they should get the two points. Not India, as India decided to back off.

What did Pakistan Champions owner say about Legends match vs India?
Earlier, on Monday, Pakistan Champions owner Kamil Khan said, "If we reach the Final, then the decision regarding that will be made then. And as for this match, the two points will be awarded to us, and we deserve those points as per the rules."
With the WCL underway, if sides qualify for the knockouts, they may have to meet again. In such a scenario, another stand-off is expected but it remains to be seen if India will pull out in such a case.
Meanwhile, Pakistan, last year's runners-up, started their campaign with a win against England's Champions and is slated to play its next game against South Africa's Champions. India will kick-start its campaign against South Africa on July 22nd.
