The series against England will kickstart a new World Test Championship (WTC) cycle, with the final being scheduled to play in 2027.

Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir won't have the services of the two superstars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the series, as both the stalwarts retired their decision to retire from the Test format earlier this month.
The selection committee, headed by the veteran pacer Ajit Agarkar have a tough job on their hands, as they need to pick a new skipper who will lead the lines for the years to come.
Gambhir is expected to hold a press conference today along with Agarkar, to announce the final members of the squad before they head towards England.

The press conference headed by Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar is scheduled to start at 12:30 PM as per the Indian Standard Time.
