Dramatic fourth innings run-chases is something that we associate with the Headingley Stadium in Leeds, where we have seen some big totals being chased down over the years.

On top of it, with Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum at the helm, the approach that England bats, no target seems impossible to chase down in the final innings.

After putting India to bat first in the series opener, England managed to bowl them out for 471 runs and responded well with the bat, only conceding a 6-run lead following a ton from Ollie Pope and fifties for Ben Duckett and Harry Brook.

How many runs can England comfortably chase at Headingley?

Speaking at the post-Day 3 press conference, the centurion from England's first innings did not set a number for his bowlers and showed optimism in chasing any total set by India. Ollie Pope, England's number three said:

"Numbers-wise, I don’t want to put a number on that because it’s such a quick-scoring ground. You beat the infield, and it can go for a four. The less the better, but we back ourselves to chase a steady score."

What are the highest scores chased at Headingley in Tests?
