South Africa U19's Jorich Van Schalkwyk smashes double century: Highest scores in U19 Youth ODI matches listed

The South Africa U19 side is currently touring Zimbabwe for a U19 tri-nation series involving South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Bangladesh. South Africa comprehensively defeated hosts Zimbabwe by 278 runs in the first game of the series.

Jorich Van Schalkwyk, the youth star from the Rainbow Nation, etched his name in the history books, scoring the highest individual score in Youth ODIs against the hosts.

The young opener from South Africa U19 scored a blistering 215 runs as he became the first player in Youth ODIs history to score a double ton. Schalkwyk achieved this feat in just 153 balls at a strike rate of more than 140, including 19 fours and 6 sixes.

On the back of Shalwyk's knock, South Africa amassed a monumental 385 runs against hosts Zimbabwe in the first match of the tri-series, before dismissing them for just 107 runs.
