As India tries to regroup after a disappointing defeat in the first Test against England at Headingley, questions are beginning to emerge around the team's composition - especially the role of seasoned all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
With India's attack looking blunt, former Australia wicket-keeper Brad Haddin has raised a bold suggestion: is it time to move on from Jadeja in overseas Tests? Jadeja, now 36, was once a crucial part of India's success story.

He was an irreplaceable figure both with bat and ball. But recent numbers paint a concerning picture and Haddin is not the only one wondering if it's time to rethink India's spin strategy.
What did Brad Haddin say about Ravindra Jadeja's place in the Indian team?
Speaking on the LiSTNR Sport podcast, Haddin pointed to Jadeja's lack of impact in recent overseas games - especially at Headingley where the left-arm spinner managed just one wicket.
"Are we seeing the decline of Ravindra Jadeja? I mean yes, he is effective in Indian conditions and how hard it is to play left-arm spin in India but I don't think he is the best option to have in the team spin wise. I would look at Kuldeep," said Haddin.
Haddin added that India might benefit more from an attacking spinner like Kuldeep Yadav - especially with Mohammed Siraj and others already providing control at one end.
Could Nitish Reddy's inclusion change things?
Haddin also floated a potential domino effect in selection: if India bring in Nitish Reddy - a pace-bowling all-rounder, it could free up space for a more aggressive spin option in Kuldeep.
"If Reddy plays, then you don't have to play Jadeja and bring the attacking spin option. I think that's one thing they’ve got to look at, especially away from home. I don't think Jadeja can be effective. Yes, he is good all-rounder and he could play as a second spinner - hold at the other end. But I think they need to be more attacking, be willing to lose a Test match with some inexperienced bowlers but change their mindset at the way they go about it," he added.
With Bumrah possibly being rested and other fast bowlers like Arshdeep Singh and Akash Deep waiting in the wings, the management may be tempted to shake things up for the second Test at Edgbaston starting July 2.
