Team India had a golden moment early on Day 3 of the second Test at Edgbaston having scored a massive first innings total of 587 runs.

With Mohammed Siraj dismissing both Joe Root and Ben Stokes in the same over, England were suddenly under pressure, reeling at 84/5.

But India's seemingly huge advantage quickly slipped away and Prasidh Krishna was at the centre of the issue. The towering pacer had a tough day in the middle with figures of 0/61 in eight overs (7 rpo) by Lunch break including one expensive over that undid all of India's early gains.

Bowling to Jamie Smith, Krishna conceded 23 runs in six deliveries, including four boundaries and a six. That single over gave England fresh momentum and left fans and experts stunned at the pacer's poor control in line and length.

What happened in Prasidh Krishna's over on day 2 of the second test?

The 31st over of England’s innings turned out to be a nightmare for Krishna and a dream one for Smith. It started with a dot ball, after which the England batter smashed Krishna for four boundaries and a huge six in the same over.

Most of his deliveries were short balls and Smith had no trouble sending them to the fence. Krishna gave away 23 runs in just that one over. India had just taken two big wickets, but this over gave England the momentum back.
