The England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced their 14-man squad for the fourth Test of India's tour of England at Old Trafford.
After the hosts clinched a 22-run win in a thriller at Lord's, the teams will travel to Manchester on July 23 for the fourth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.

The England squad for the fourth Test includes Liam Dawson, who returns after an eight-year gap, while Sam Cook and Jamie Overton have been released to participate in the County Championship.

The selectors have retained the core group from the first three Tests, with Ben Stokes continuing to lead the charge.

Jofra Archer and Gus Atkinson, who were added after the first and second Tests, respectively, will continue for the Old Trafford Test.
The 35-year-old Dawson replaces Shoaib Bashir in the squad as a lead spinner after his strong start to the County Championship season.

Why did Liam Dawson replace Shoaib Bashir for fourth Test?
Off-spinner Bashir was excluded from the squad for the Old Trafford Test for injury reasons. He sustained a left little finger injury when he was on the field trying to stop a straight drive from Ravindra Jadeja on Day 3 of the last Test.

The 21-year-old bowled in the final innings of the Test, dramatically scalping Mohammed Siraj's wicket to win England the match. However, he has been ruled out of the rest of the series.
Dawson, 35, is returning to the England red-ball team after last playing a Test match in 2017 against South Africa.
