‘He didn’t win a Test match’: Former Australia star calls out Bumrah’s poor Test record in England image

After India's dramatic six-run win at The Oval that levelled the series 2-2, former Australia wicketkeeper Brad Haddin made a remark about Jasprit Bumrah’s record in England.

He mentioned that despite Bumrah's reputation as India's pace spearhead, the team failed to win any of the Tests he played in during the series.

His comments have sparked debate about Bumrah’s impact in English conditions.

What did Brad Haddin say about Bumrah’s role in the England series?

Speaking on the LiSTNR Sport podcast, Haddin didn’t hold back. He pointed out that India didn’t win a single Test in which Bumrah featured during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy.

The star pacer played three of the five Tests in the series but was absent during India’s two victories- in Birmingham and at The Oval.

Haddin said this showed that India are no longer overly dependent on Bumrah and that other fast bowlers are stepping up. According to him, the win at The Oval without Bumrah proves India’s bench strength.

"India, they can take a lot out (this) that they can still play without Bumrah. His life goes on if the other bowlers find a way. They have got so much talent over there in India. But he didn't win a Test match."

How did Bumrah perform in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy?

Despite not being part of either win, Bumrah had decent individual numbers.
