Quinton De Kock and Rovman Powell, the former KKR duo, scored crucial half-centuries for their side, Barbados Royals; however, their efforts were in vain as the side suffered a disappointing defeat.
Antigua and Barbuda Falcons beat Barbados Royals by 4 wickets
The third match of the Caribbean Premier League was being played between Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and the Barbados Royals at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua.
The hosts registered their first victory of the season as they defeated the Royals in a thrilling encounter that went down to the wire. The Falcons won the game by 4 wickets with just 2 balls to spare.
Earlier, De Kock and explosive batter Powell scored wonderful half-centuries (57 off 45 & 51 off 24, respectively) for their side, Barbados Royals, to a respectable total of 151 in 20 overs.
Chasing a par total, the Falcons seemed to be struggling initially; however, a wonderful unbeaten knock of 64 from Karim Gore helped his side over the line in the last over.
Ramon Simmonds bowled the last over for the Royals. With the Falcons needing 6 runs to win, Karim Gore, along with Fabian Allen, absorbed all the pressure as they took their side over the line in the fourth ball of the over.
What's next in CPL 2025?
With just three games into the league, the thirteenth edition of the Caribbean Premier League is already off to a good start. TKR and St Lucia Kings are yet to play their first game, while the other four sides have played at least one game each.

Falcons, after their defeat against SNP, came back in style to defeat the Royals, while for the Royals, the focus would be on putting in a much better batting display when they take on the field for their next game against the Patriots on August 22nd.
