Why is Brydon Carse nicknamed 'Chiller'?
Carse has played a crucial role for the hosts, England, in their ongoing series against India. In six innings so far, he has picked up nine wickets and scored 117 crucial runs with the bat down the order.
Brydon Carse has been fiery on the field, engaging in several verbal exchanges with Indian players during the series. Speaking to Sky Sports, Carse said he brings a lot of aggression when he bowls, but his teammates describe him as much calmer off the field. He also revealed a nickname they've given him, reflecting that contrast.
When asked about whether he is a different person on and off the field, Carse said, "I have been told that, you know, the guys in the team have adopted this nickname for me, called Chiller. But they certainly, you know, they don't sometimes see that when we cross over the line."
The pacer further explained how the hunger to perform and win brings out the aggressive and fiery side of him. He said, "I think it's you know the heat of the battle. I always want to win, I always want to try and impact the game, and I am always up for a contest."
Meanwhile, both India and England are all set to lock horns at the iconic Old Trafford stadium in Manchester for the fourth Test, starting from July 23rd.
