The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) league stage is almost at its end, as the race for the playoffs and top two positions in the table comes to an exciting conclusion.

At the other end of the scale, a few teams have suffered some poor campaigns. Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings have endured a difficult season as they finished bottom of the standings.

It is a similar story for defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders, who have had a poor outing in 2025, languishing towards the bottom.
