The PSL 2025 has already seen its fair share of bizarre and awkward moments: James Vince being handed a hairdryer as a Player of the Match award to Ramiz Raja, accidentally slipping up calling the tournament 'IPL', the Pakistani T20 league has provided thorough entertainment.

The league has not been short on drama or humour. Now, England’s Sam Billings has added his name to the list -- this time, by playfully trolling Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam.

How did Sam Billings troll Babar Azam?

In an Instagram story, Billings highlighted the contrast between the fastest and slowest fifties of the 2025 season. The Lahore Qalandars batter took just 19 balls to bring up his half-century against Quetta Gladiators earlier this year.

On the other hand, Babar Azam took 47 deliveries to reach his fifty -- making it the slowest fifty in PSL 2025 so far. The post came with the caption:

"Two knocks of a very different nature, both of which came in the winning cause."

The post struck a chord with fans already vocal about Babar’s approach this season. The former Pakistan captain has come under scrutiny from sections of the media and supporters for his low strike rate -- especially during key stages of matches.

When will the PSL 2025 resume?

The trolling comes during a tense pause in the PSL season caused by the cross-border tension between India and Pakistan

This forced the league to halt. The good news is that PSL 2025 will resume on May 17 -- with four group matches scheduled before the final on May 25 -- also at the Pindi Stadium.

However, with many overseas players hesitant to return, franchises are scrambling to finalise their squads.
