WATCH: Babar Azam fields from non-striker's end! Pakistan star's brain fog moment in warm-up game in Australia

Babar Azam had a brain fog moment in Pakistan's warm-up game against Australia PM XI on Wednesday morning in Canberra. 

The former Pakistan captain was batting with Shan Masood at the non-striker's end when he suddenly bent down to catch the ball as it passed him.

Babar was sent back to the pavilion when he was on 40 by Jordan Buckingham. However, Shan Masood is going strong at 109* from 179 balls as Pakistan find themselves at 218/4 at the end of 68 overs.

When does the Australian summer of cricket begin?

Australia will begin their home summer of cricket in mid-December with a three-match Test series against Pakistan.

The opening game is scheduled to start on Thursday, December 14, and will be followed by the famous Boxing Day Test on Tuesday, December 26.

Australia plays three Tests against Pakistan in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, followed by two Tests against the West Indies in Adelaide and Brisbane.
