Veteran West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has announced that he will retire from all formats of international cricket after the first two Test matches of West Indies' five-match T20 series against Australia.
Russell made his international debut for West Indies in 2010 against Sri Lanka and his T20 debut came a year later. He has represented the nation in 84 T20Is, 56 ODIs and a Test where he scored over 2000 runs and picked up 132 wickets.
After announcing his decision to bring the curtain down on his international career, the Kolkata Knight Riders icon revealed the most memorable moment of his journey in international cricket.

Andre Russell picks his favourite moment of his cricket career
In an interview with the Cricket West Indies, Russell reminisced about his match-winning knock against the mighty Indian side in the 2016 T20 World Cup semi-final in Mumbai.
The 37-year-old smashed 43 runs of just 20 balls and helped West Indies reach the final, where they beat England to lift the trophy for the second time in their history.

Recalling the innings at Wankhede, Russell said: "Definitely [my best moment was] the 2016 World Cup, that semi-final game against India where I brought the team home, me and Lendl Simmons, and obviously the start that we got from the other batters.
"Chasing 190-plus in that semi-final in India, with the crowd supporting India only, that was already a bit of pressure, but the wicket was a very good wicket, so the confidence that we had in the changing room and the batters that were left to come, it gave me the freedom and the confidence to go out and play the role that I did."
