After his successful stint at the Anderson-Tendulkar Test series, Indian pacer Akash Deep purchased a new swanky SUV on his return to the country last week.

The pacer, who originally hails from Uttar Pradesh, fulfilled his long-standing dream as he bought himself his dream car. Deep subsequently shared his joyful moments with his fans, as he took to Instagram, sharing pictures and wrote, 'Dream delivered, keys received with the one who matters most.'

His happiness was, however, short-lived as he was soon issued a notice to stop using his car by government authorities.

Why Akash Deep cannot use his newly purchased car - Explained 

As per The Times of India (TOI), the Indian pacer was stopped from using his new car on public roads. The Regional Transport Office in Lucknow reportedly issued a notice to the pacer, instructing him to stop the use. 

The order was reportedly issued due to incomplete registration formalities a+nd a missing mandatory high-security registration plate (HSRP) and a third registration mark (TRM). HSRPs are the number plates having advanced features, such as laser codes, hologram, and non-removable screws. 

The RTO subsequently ordered the Indian pacer to appear either personally or through a representative within 72 hours with all the required documents of the purchase.

What next for Akash Deep?

Meanwhile, Deep has been ruled out of the upcoming Duleep Trophy, which marks the start of India's domestic season. The pacer was seen in discomfort during the fifth Test against England at the Oval. 

In three games on the England tour, he picked up 13 wickets, including a 10-wicket haul at Edgbaston, which led India to a historic victory. 

The fast bowler is expected to return to action in October when India host West Indies and South Africa in back-to-back home Test series.
