Despite playing in her first major tour final, Tanvi gave a good account of herself against top seed Zhang. After dropping the first game, she almost mounted a comeback but fell short in the end.

Tanvi is a rising badminton star who hails from Hoshiarpur, Punjab. She is currently ranked number 66 in the world and has been making headlines since the age of 14.
The prodigy is another product of the famous Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad, where she trained from 2016. Currently, she trains at the NCE (National Centre of Excellence) in Guwahati.
