While Cameron Brink is still sidelined from basketball, she is finding ways to remain in the spotlight. 

The Sparks star, who was selected second overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft and tore her ACL not long after her rookie season began, will soon make an appearance on "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune."

On the episode, which is set to air on Tuesday night, Brink even offered a brief update on her injury recovery as she seeks to return to the court during her second WNBA season.

Why is Cameron Brink on 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune'?

On Tuesday's newest episode of "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," Brink, along with Justin Long and Rachael Harris, was a guest on the game show. She played for NEXT22 Foundation, which she created and aims to "encourage young girls to stay involved in sports due to the benefits of sports participation."

Ahead of her guest appearance, Brink detailed the NEXT22 Foundation, saying it's a non-profit basketball camp in Oregon that she's hoping to expand to other states.

Also, before the episode aired, Brink said her strategy was to "not look stupid" on the game show.

In a clip from the upcoming episode, Brink, while chatting with host Pat Sajak, revealed some details about her injury recovery.

"I was a the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut ― a casino, very lucky," she said. "Tore my ACL, tore my meniscus as well, but it's all surgically repaired now. So, I'm good. It's just going to take me a couple months to be back." 

Brink also spoke about how the WNBA stars before her generation were "building up this league" and noted how social media has helped the recent rookie classes reach new levels of stardom."

Cameron Brink injury update

Brink was carried to the locker room on June 18, 2024, in a game against the Sun, and the Sparks later announced that she had a torn left ACL. Based on Brink's comments during "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," she also tore her meniscus at the time. She missed the remainder of her rookie season, and she's still been sidelined for the beginning of her sophomore season as well.

While she's likely still months away from a potential return, Brink has been seen getting pregame shots up as she recovers from the major injury.

Before the 2025 WNBA season, Brink also told WNBA reporter Sara Jane Gamelli that she's feeling "great."

"I'm thankful that I'm not getting any pressure from the org," Brink said, per Gamelli. "The Sparks are doing a really good job of just supporting me fully through this process."

During this year's WNBA Draft, ESPN's Holly Rowe also offered a potential timeline for Brink's return, saying she'll likely be back sometime in June, according to Yahoo Sports. On May 31, Brink sat down with Spectrum SportsNet, saying she's "feeling good" but it would "still take a little bit" until she can return. 

Brink offered an update on her status during her "Wheel of Fortune" appearance, telling Sajak that she also suffered a torn meniscus when she went down. She anticipates shell be back on the floor in a few months.

"It's all surgically repaired now," Brink said. "So, I'm good. It's just going to take me a couple months to be back."
