The Fever may be getting their star guard back in action.
Caitlin Clark has missed an extended period in the early WNBA season, appearing in Indiana's first four games before an injury kept her out of a few games.
With the Fever seeking to get back on track following a 4-5 start, the status of Clark has been in question the past few days. Indiana is set to take on the reigning WNBA champion Liberty on Saturday. Will Clark be active against a still-unbeaten New York squad?

Here's the latest on Clark's status for Saturday's Fever vs. Liberty game.
Is Caitlin Clark playing vs. Liberty?
Clark has been out since May 24, her fourth appearance of the season, with an injury. And after initially being given a two-week timeline for recovery, the expectation is that she'll make her return to the floor Saturday afternoon.
Fever head coach Stephanie White said Friday that Clark has been "working her way back" and that as long as she doesn't have any regressions, "she's gonna be ready to roll" moving forward.

Sophie Cunningham, who's also been dealing with an injury, is expected to return as well.
"I don't anticipate there being any [setbacks]," White said of Clark. "So, she's good."
Barring any regression tonight, both Sophie Cunningham and Caitlin Clark should be available tomorrow, Fever coach Steph White says.

But she doesn’t anticipate DeWanna Bonner, who has been away from the team for personal reasons, to be with the team tomorrow.

Earlier in the week, White told reporters that Clark wasn't yet ready to return for a game against the Dream.
"We're ready to start ramping back up," White said of Clark at the time. "She's been allowed to do some practicing, not everything, and we're gonna be smart, we're gonna be cautious."
Now, with her return imminent, she'll bring a big boost to a Fever squad that hasn't had a great start to the new campaign. When Clark returns, the Fever will also have to cut Aari McDonald, who they signed using the emergency hardship exception with a few players injured.

What happened to Caitlin Clark?
Clark got an MRI not long after a 90-88 loss to the Liberty on May 24. The Fever announced a few days later that she would be out for at least two weeks, when she would be re-evaluated following a quad strain. It was the star guard's first missed games over the course of her college and professional career.
She's been ramping up for a return over the past week, practicing again on June 9 after getting more imaging done on her quad.
"There was imaging done to tell that my leg is okay," Clark said, per the Indianapolis Star. "We're not guessing. We're not going off of feeling. So I can find confidence in that, that, you know, we weren't able to find anything or see anything, and that was kind of my all-clear. I knew I was feeling really good. So that wasn't a surprise by any means that it looked that way when we saw, when we had the imaging done."
Clark also said she's "antsy" to get back on the court following her first WNBA absences.
"It's definitely been a process," Clark said. "I think the hardest part is when you, like, get to feel really good, and it's just a process of, like, working yourself back into actually getting up and down and getting out there with my teammates... I'm super, super excited, antsy to get out there, probably shake off a little bit of rust."
She looked back in rhythm at practice Friday, winning a halfcourt shot competition with her teammates in video from reporters.
