Brazilian star Jailton Almeida will aim to add to his run of early finishes when he faces veteran Derrick Lewis in a UFC Fight Night in Sao Paulo in the early hours of Sunday.
Only one of rising heavyweight contender Almeida's UFC opponents has gone beyond the first round, and that was a second-round knockout of Shamil Abdurakhimov in Rio de Janeiro in January.
After almost 10 years with the promotion, Lewis' 14 knockouts are the most in UFC history, including a first-round victory over Marcos Rogerio de Lima in Utah in July to end a run of three straight defeats.
The 38-year-old lost by submission when he challenged Daniel Cormier for the title in 2018 and has won six of his 11 bouts since then, including a knockout loss to Ciryl Gane for the interim belt in 2021.
