The countdown is on for cycling’s crown jewel as the 2025 Tour de France gets ready to drop the flag on Saturday, July 5.

The 112th edition of the world’s most prestigious bike race promises a whirlwind of drama, grit, and glory across 3,339 kilometers of French roads, wrapping up with a grand finale in Paris on July 27. With 185 riders eyeing the coveted crown, the peloton is locked and loaded for three weeks of racing.

After last year’s detour that saw the finish line relocated to Nice due to the Paris Olympics, this year’s Tour is back on home turf from start to finish. The Grand Départ fires off from the cobbled streets of Lille in the north, and—fittingly—concludes beneath the Parisian lights on the Champs-Élysées.

The 21-stage gauntlet will take riders through a scenic French landscapes—from the windswept shores of Normandy to the rugged heart of the Massif Central, before sending them skyward in the leg-breaking climbs of the Pyrenees and Alps.

Adding a touch of history to the 2025 edition, the final stage celebrates 50 years of the Champs-Élysées being the Tour’s glittering last act. And to mark the golden jubilee, organizers have thrown in a spicy twist—three ascents of the Côte de la Butte Montmartre before the peloton hits full throttle down the iconic boulevard toward the Arc de Triomphe.

Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 Tour de France, including streaming options to watch the Triple Crown race without cable.
