The FIBA AmeriCup 2025 will bring together the best players on the continent. Experienced players and young stars are among the representatives from 12 countries who will be showcasing their talent.

Jose Alvarado - PG - Puerto Rico
Jose Alvarado's confirmation of playing in AmeriCup 2025 was celebrated across the continent. His addition to Puerto Rico's first team is a valuable asset for the tournament and for the Puerto Rican squad. The Pelicans point guard was instrumental in the last Olympic qualification. In the last NBA season, despite injuries, he had the best performance of his four-year career in the world's best league.

Trae Bell-Haynes - PG - Canada
Bell-Haynes stood out among the best point guards in Spain. He achieved the team's goals with Zaragoza and finished fourth in assists in the ACB League. He also renewed his contract with the Aragonese team until 2027.
He is another player who was present in all of his national team's games on the road to the AmeriCup. He led Canada in its six games (4-2 record) and was the third-best passer in the qualifiers.

Maozinha - PF - Brasil

After winning a championship in Uruguay, he joined the Chicago Bulls' Summer League team in Las Vegas and is one of the big names in the run-up to Managua. The explosive Maozinha was one of Brazil's standouts in the qualifiers and promises to be one of the best in Nicaragua. He is going through one of the best stretches of his career with strong performances in recent months.
The NBA Summer League featured Maozinha among the most outstanding representatives of the American continent. Before arriving in Las Vegas, he signed with the Uruguayan club Nacional in March, and he would go on to become a champion of the Uruguayan League.

Jean Montero - SG - Dominican Republic
He is coming off his best season in the ACB with Valencia, leading the team to the league final against Real Madrid and earning several individual accolades. He was named Best Young Player in the Endesa League for the third consecutive time and was one of the members of the competition's Best Five.
His scoring ability, game reading and extensive experience despite his youth place Montero among the top players in AmeriCup 2025.

Gonzalo Corbalan - SG - Argentina

Explosiveness, power and the ability to take advantage of plays with limited space characterize Gonzalo Corbalan's style. He's an athletic and spectacular player.
In his last season, he stood out playing for Burgos, securing promotion to the ACB League and the renewal of his contract to play next season in Spain. He was MVP of the Copa del Principe and has a perfect assist record with the Argentine national team in the qualifiers for Managua.
