Football is back in Canada, as the CFL season is about to kick off. It's not quite the launch party that the NFL receives, but football fanatics can agree that any bit of the sport is great.

The CFL features nine teams across Canada with five in the West Division and four in the East. The Toronto Argonauts are the reigning champions; they defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the 2024 championship.

The schedule spans 21 weeks with each team playing a total of 18 regular-season games. Six of nine teams make the postseason with the top seed for the East and West each earning a bye to the conference finals. The conference winners will then play in the Grey Cup, the equivalent to the NFL's Super Bowl.

The season extends into November, so there will be some overlap with the NFL regular season.

The Sporting News has all the details on how to listen to the 2025 CFL radio coverage.
