Many first learned of Troy "Trombone Shorty" Andrews when he kicked off Super Bowl 59 with "America the Beautiful" before the Chiefs and Eagles clashed in his native New Orleans. The performance was unforgettable, just like every one of his live concerts.

The New Orleans maestro and his elite backing band Orleans Avenue have been a staple of the professional music scene since joining Lenny Kravitz's world tour when Andrews was a teenager. However, his rich musical history extends far beyond that. 

At age 4, Andrews played the trombone at Jazz Fest with Bo Diddley. By six years old, he was leading his own brass band, At 10, he became a touring musician. Trombone Shorty began his 2025 tour in early March, and it ran until July 11. He added a second leg to the tour in the summer, with dozens more dates between now and the end of the year.
