Nottingham Forest is still clinging to its Champions League dreams as it welcomes Leicester City, which has already been relegated to the City Ground, on Sunday for a high-stakes clash at one end and a farewell tour at the other.

The two-time kings of Europe haven’t been this close to the continent’s biggest stage in years, and Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are doing everything they can to keep that fire burning.

They spent Christmas riding high in second place, but the new year hasn't been as kind. A run of just one win from their last five league games has seen momentum slip through their fingers.

Even so, Forest are still in the mix, and a strong finish could be the ticket to their first Champions League appearance in generations.

As for Leicester, the writing's been on the wall for a while. Their return to the top flight never really took flight, and last weekend’s win over Southampton was little more than a parting gift to their fans. With the drop already confirmed, they’re playing for pride now, wrapping up a campaign that never got out of first gear.

The Sporting News looks at the key details ahead of this game, including how to watch the match, kickoff times and the latest lineup news.

Nottingham Forest vs. Leicester predicted lineups, team news

Nottingham Forest will have to make do without their spark out wide, as Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to miss the weekend showdown due to a lingering hamstring issue.

Adding to the injury woes, questions loom over Murillo’s availability after the Brazilian center-back limped off during Monday night’s clash at Selhurst Park. His absence would be a real headache for Nuno Espirito Santo’s backline plans.

If Murillo can’t shake off the knock in time, it’ll likely be Nikola Milenkovic stepping in to partner Morato at the heart of the defense—a duo that may have to hit the ground running with so much on the line.

Nottingham Forest predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Sels (GK) — Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams — Sangare, Anderson — Dominguez, Gibbs-White, Elanga — Wood.

Injured: Murillo.
Suspended: None.

Leicester’s injury list is growing longer by the day, and it’s headlined by first-choice keeper Mads Hermansen, who’s sidelined for the rest of the campaign after going under the knife for a hernia.

The treatment room’s been busy, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Abdul Fatawu, Stephy Mavididi, and Ricardo Pereira all nursing muscle or knee knocks that have ruled them out of contention.

Facundo Buonanotte, on loan from Brighton, also sat out the Southampton drubbing due to a concussion, and the jury’s still out on whether he’ll be cleared for Sunday’s trip to the City Ground.

Leicester predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Stolarczyk (GK) — Justin, Coady, Faes, Thomas — Ndidi, Skipp — McAteer, Ayew, El Khannouss — Vardy.

Injured: Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Abdul Fatawu, Stephy Mavididi, Ricardo Pereira, Facundo Buonanotte.
Suspended: None.
