Andorra vs. England predicted lineups, team news, score prediction: Tuchel tackles minnows task image

England resume their World Cup qualification campaign with a trip to Barcelona to face Andorra on Saturday.

Such assignments can be a thankless endeavour, with three points virtually guaranteed for the Three Lions against a team ranked 173rd in the world.

But Thomas Tuchel has spoken repeatedly about the limited time he has with his players until the finals in North America next year, so expect a strong England lineup.

At the end of a hard season, what does that look like, and how might the minnows of Andorra try to combat it?

Veteran defender Marc Pujol and main striker Berto are each missing from Koldo Alvarez's squad.

Captain Marc Vales is in line to win his 100th cap and will have to shoulder a little more attacking responsibility in Berto's absence, insofar as there will be any across what promises to be 90 minutes of grim toil for the hosts.

Andorra predicted lineup (5-4-1, right to left): Alvarez (GK) — Borra, San Nicolas, Llovera, Olivera, M. Garcia — Rodrigo, Vales, Babot, Cervos — Fernandez

Andorra full roster

Goalkeepers: Josep Gomes, Iker Alvarez, Xisco Pires

Forwards: Guillaume Lopez, Ricard Fernandes, Albert Rosas, Aron Rodrigo.

Tuchel left Marcus Rashford and Phil Foden out of his squad, with the latter having requested a break after a difficult end to the season physically and mentally at Manchester City. Rashford is recovering from a hamstring injury.

Trevoh Chalobah is in the mix for a senior debut, although that may be more likely in next week's friendly against Senegal in Nottingham.

Ivan Toney is back in the England squad at Dominic Solanke's expense following an impressive season in the Saudi Pro League with Al Ahli.

England predicted lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Pickford (GK) — Alexander-Arnold, Konsa, Colwill, Lewis-Skelly — Rice, Bellingham — Saka, Palmer, Gordon — Kane

England full roster

Andorra vs. England score prediction

Tuchel's most valuable time in terms of grooving playing patterns with his squad will already have taken place on the training ground. The aim of the game here is to run up a handsome scoreline to feather the Three Lions' goal difference, and an anticipated strong starting XI should get that done.

Predicted score: Andorra 0-6 England
