Manchester United fans can breathe a little easier — their captain isn’t packing his bags just yet.

As per reports (via Fabrizio Romano) Bruno Fernandes has turned down a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, choosing instead to stay in Europe and playing at top level.

Al Hilal had their eyes set on the Portuguese playmaker. The Saudi Pro League club reportedly offered a massive deal, including wages that would have nearly tripled his current earnings.

A £100 million fee was also rumored, enough to make any club think twice. But Fernandes wasn’t tempted by the paycheck.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news, stating: “Bruno Fernandes has REJECTED Al Hilal proposal. Despite crazy contract proposal from the Saudi Pro League club, Bruno Fernandes wants to continue playing football in Europe.”

It could mean that the captain still believes in United and wants to continue his journey at Old Trafford.

Fernandes, who turns 31 in September, had kept quiet on his future in recent weeks. His agent, Miguel Pinho, even visited Saudi Arabia for talks.

That sparked plenty of rumors about a potential move. But behind the scenes, Fernandes was clear about his ambitions.

He wants to play at the top level. He wants to stay in Europe. And most importantly, he wants to stay at Manchester United — at least for now.

What Ruben Amorim said on Bruno Fernandes transfer situation?

United manager Ruben Amorim also gave his thoughts earlier: “I think he wants to stay, he is saying 'no' to a lot of things… The feeling that I have every time I speak to him is he wants to continue for sure at Man Utd. But you never know."

Football may be full of unexpected twists, but for now, Fernandes isn’t changing shirts. He’s sticking around Old Trafford, focused on bringing better days back to the club.

And with United needing leadership on and off the pitch, that’s a decision worth more than any transfer fee.
