Chelsea's former manager Thomas Tuchel has expressed his thoughts on how the Club World Cup will shape the Premier League next season.
The England manager spoke before his side's friendly against Senegal on Tuesday. He was asked for his thoughts on the Club World Cup ahead of the revamped tournament in its inaugural year.
What did Tuchel say about the Club World Cup?
Tuchel claimed that Liverpool and Arsenal will have a "huge advantage" in the Premier League title race, as reported on ESPN. The two sides are not involved in the Club World Cup, which will give their players a welcome rest before their preseason fixtures.
Chelsea and Manchester City are both set to play in the tournament for at least three matches. It's likely both teams will progress further into the tournament and should one or both reach the final, they could play as many as seven games in a month.
The England boss also spoke on how the tournament could impact his players on the international stage. Tuchel has his sights set on the 2026 World Cup for England, but there will be a lack of rest for some of his players.

Tuchel went on to say, "I decided not to worry too much because why should I? It is a given and no one knows what will be the outcome of it or the effect. We will deal with the effect when the effect comes."
Players from Manchester City and Chelsea will have to play in the Club World Cup before potentially featuring in some preseason fixtures. Both teams also qualified for the Champions League, adding even more matches to an already full campaign.
