Toronto Raptors 2017-18 schedule: Key dates, games to watch

The Toronto Raptors will open the 2017-18 regular season with two games at the Air Canada Centre.

The NBA officially released its upcoming regular season schedule on Monday night. The Raptors will host the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, Oct. 19, and face Philadelphia two days later in Toronto. The Raptors will then embark on a six-game West Coast road trip, with stops in San Antonio, Golden State, Los Angeles and Portland.

Toronto will host Cleveland, the reigning Eastern Conference champion, on Jan. 11. The Cavaliers swept Toronto in the second round of the playoffs last season, and also eliminated the Raptors in the Eastern Conference finals the previous year. Two days later, the Raptors will face the Golden State Warriors at the Air Canada Centre. Golden State and Cleveland have faced off in the last three NBA Championships. 

The Raptors will get their first look at the remade Celtics when they travel to Boston on Nov. 12. Boston added forward Gordon Hayward to its roster via free agency in July.

Toronto finished 2016-17 with a 51-31 record and earned the third seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Raptors advanced to the second round after topping Milwaukee in six games before being eliminated by Cleveland.

The Raptors re-signed star point guard Kyle Lowry as well as Serge Ibaka during the offseason and traded Cory Joseph to the Pacers for forward C.J. Miles. Toronto also dealt DeMarre Carroll to the Nets and drafted Indiana forward OG Anunoby with the 23rd overall pick.
