The usual suspects are at the top of the pitcher ranking today, with Madison Bumgarner and Zack Greinke sitting at Nos. 1 and 2. But even though a bunch of Wednesday's pitchers can be expected to go deep into games, their strikeouts -- and, thus, their daily fantasy baseball upside -- might be limited.
The five afternoon games feature Bumgarner, Kevin Gausman and Trevor Bauer. In the night slate, Collin McHugh should finally get his first win of the year against a struggling White Sox offense. After nearly throwing a no-hitter against the Marlins in his last outing, Gio Gonzalez faces them again. We obviously can't expect another one-hitter, but Gonzalez is in position for another terrific start. Also, Masahiro Tanaka has been dealing his past two starts, and he faces a Blue Jays team he dominated the last time he faced them.
In boom-or-bust options, Gausman enters the category again. He has been on fire in his past four starts, but the Angels don't strike out much. If they hit him, Gausman could bust. Rick Porcello and Kyle Hendricks are also all-or-nothing options. Alex Wood might fall into that category, too. Not only has he struggled recently, but he also reported "a little fatigue" after his last outing.

We have a 10-game main slate tonight with five games taking place during the afternoon. While there currently doesn't look to be any teams checking in with low projected run totals, the Astros, Brewers, Nationals, Braves, and Yankees are all projected for over five runs tonight. The long ball has been dominating lately, and I think it will again tonight.
Weather-wise, we seem to be good with the exception of Atlanta again tonight. Similar to yesterday, the Braves are in a nice spot, and we'll have to monitor this game leading up to first pitch. Good luck! -- Ben Scherr
