After a very small slate of games on Thursday, we have a full schedule starting at 7:05 p.m. ET for Friday’s daily fantasy baseball contests. For the pitcher rankings, there isn’t a no-doubt top pick, but it's a fairly deep group of options to choose from in both GPPs and cash games.
Danny Salazar returned from the DL last week and spun a gem (one hit, eight Ks over seven shutout innings) and should continue to roll against the weak-hitting White Sox. Dallas Keuchel was dominant before he hit the DL for a neck strain, and he makes his return against the Tigers. He should pick up where he left off. Two lefties in Robbie Ray and Alex Wood are coming off arguably their worst outings of the year, but they should bounce back with favorable matchups against teams who aren't great against lefties. Jaime Garcia has been pitching well lately and has good matchup against the A’s and their league-worst worst batting average against southpaws.
There are a good amount of boom-or-bust options, and one of them is Sal Romano of the Reds. He incorporated a changeup into his arsenal for the first time against the Marlins five days ago, and he used it for six innings of one-run ball that included seven strikeouts. Other options include Marashiro Tanaka, Julio Teheran and German Marquez.

We have a full 15-game slate that comes with a few areas of concern. First, reports are that David Price will be scratched tonight. Stay up to date on our MLB Alarms page for updates on his status or replacement. There is major concerns weather wise in both Washington and Philadelphia tonight. It's looking like the game in Washington will be postponed, and the game is Philly is an iffy one that needs another look closer to gametime.
The Rangers are the top projected scoring team tonight, with the Indians, Red Sox, and Yanks also checking in with solid projected run totals. The Giants check in with the lowest projected total, with the White Sox, D-Backs, Padres, and Rays checking in with lower totals as well.
