With only one day game (Nationals-Cubs) on Friday, tonight's main slate of games offers a ton of solid pitching options for those in daily fantasy baseball contests.
Madison Bumgarner will grab a ton of attention and deservedly so. The Diamondbacks have the third worst K-rate and wOBA against lefties, and Bumgarner is coming off seven innings of shutout ball against the Dodgers. James Paxton and Jacob deGrom should continue their recent dominance, and strikeout machine Jacob Faria has a favorable matchup against the strikeout-prone Brewers.
Kevin Gausman is likely the best option in the boom-or-bust department. In his past three starts, Gausman is booming (3-0, 20.2 IP, 1 ER, 18 Ks), but his season 5.37 ERA and 1.68 WHIP shows he could easily bust, too. Also, Trevor Bauer, who strikes out a ton of hitters, faces a Yankees team who have been striking out more than usual lately.

We have a 13-game main slate for tonight due to two earlier games. For me, this slate feels much more GPP than cash friendly. There are just way too many solid pitching options to go with tonight, both at the higher price range as well as the mid-to-value range.
Hitting-wise, we have a game in Coors that features the worst road team (Phillies), and we have the Red Sox joining the Rangers and Twins as the top teams to target outside of Coors. The Pirates are in a great spot, as well, but the weather does not currently look good there. There also may be concerns elsewhere, so follow our weather center for updates closer to first pitch.
