The Panthers and Oilers are still locked in a second-straight contentious Stanley Cup Final joust, but some of the NHL's most talented players briefly took the spotlight on Thursday night.

The 2025 NHL Awards were announced before Florida and Edmonton took the ice, with the Jets' Connor Hellebuyck joining exclusive company as he secured two awards. Not only did the goaltender take home his second-straight Vezina Trophy — he also won the league's most valuable player award, the Hart Memorial Trophy.

Hellebuyck became just the fifth player to win both awards in the same season after an incredible 2024-25 campaign. Meanwhile, other standouts, such as Cale Makar and Aleksander Barkov, got their hands on some gold, too.
