The Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in their Week 2 preseason matchup on Saturday. These games provide valuable opportunities to experiment and evaluate talent, and there are several players fans should watch closely. Some will be battling for a roster spot, while others aim to prove they're game-ready for the regular season.
For the Bucs, running back Sean Tucker is one of those players whom team reporter Brianna Dix has dubbed the "preseason darling."
"The Bucs took a run-first approach in the second half of their preseason opener as Sean Tucker and Owen Wright combined for 137 yards and two touchdowns," Dix wrote. "Overall, the Bucs ran 41 times for 178 yards, both representing the club's most in a preseason showdown since 2017."
She described the "preseason darling" as a player who "runs with outstanding contact balance and lateral elusiveness," with "effective downhill cuts and an instinctive feel for creating outside of the blocking structure."
Dix added: "The Syracuse product fights through contact and will look to bully the Steelers' defense."
In their preseason opener, the Buccaneers delivered an impressive 29-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans. They will aim for another dominant performance as they take on the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. The kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
