The Seattle Seahawks' rookie class isn't the healthiest group ever.
Ahead of training camp, the Seahawks placed six rookies on the non-football injury list. That essentially means they were already injured from prior settings before getting to camp.
Players on the NFI can be activated at any time during training camp. They can't practice until being activated.
Only one draft pick is in the group: Rylie Mills.
Mills was a fifth-round pick out of Notre Dame. The defensive lineman tore his ACL playing for the Fighting Irish last season and isn't all the way back yet.
Five rookies went on the NFI for having not yet passed their physicals.

Those five: cornerback Zy Alexander, receiver Tyrone Broden, receiver Montorie Foster, linebacker D'Eryk Jackson and cornerback Isas Waxter.
Getting players on the NFI allows Seattle to bring in other camp bodies, too.
The undrafted rookies would certainly like to pass their physicals and get on the field as soon as possible, because they'll be fighting an uphill battle to make the roster.
For Mills, Seattle knew he was in this situation already, and they'll surely welcome him back when he's ready.
