The San Francisco 49ers made some wholesale changes to their training camp roster on Thursday.
One signing was reported earlier in the day, but it turns out, the 'Niners signed four new players and released four others.
Here are the details, from ESPN's Adam Schefter:
49ers sign:
- QB Carter Bradley
- RB Ameer Abdullah
- WR Marquez Callaway
- WR Andy Isabella
49ers release/waive:
- WR Equanimeous St. Brown
- OL Sebastian Gutierrez
- WR Malik Knowles
- S Jaylen Mahoney
Equanimeous, the brother of Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown, was just signed earlier this month. But San Francisco clearly wanted to get a look at a couple of other free agent wideouts.
Callaway is a former Saints WR who made a real impact for a time in New Orleans. Isabella most notably played for the Cardinals. Both of the pair are really, really fast.

Signing a new quarterback may be the news that catches the eyes of 49ers fans the most.
Bradley is the son of former Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley.
The young QB Bradley played college football for Toledo and South Alabama. He went undrafted in 2024 and signed with the Raiders.
Bradley was a practice squad player most of last season before getting onto the active roster at the end of the year. He didn't play a snap.
The Raiders cut Bradley two weeks ago.
The 49ers have established quarterbacks on their roster, but it's a chance for Bradley to learn from a great offensive mind in Kyle Shanahan and a QB who made it against unlikely odds, Brock Purdy.
There'll be more roster moves to come, because that's how this time of year works.
