Steelers send Shedeur Sanders on NFL Draft slide with shocking pick image

Shedeur Sanders is officially on a free fall.

The Colorado quarterback's pivot point was the No. 21 overall pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

They took defensive star Derrick Harmon, not Sanders.

That leaves Sanders watching the draft and wondering when he'll actually go.

The Oregon defensive tackle Harmon plays a small part in ruining Sanders' night.

ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. couldn't believe it. He's got Sanders as his No. 1 QB, ahead of No. 1 pick Cam Ward.

Pittsburgh still hasn't signed Aaron Rodgers, and is currently sitting with Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson as its two quarterbacks.

Sanders is a legitimate candidate to fall to the second day of the draft now.

It'd be a shocking slide for a guy who was expected early on in the draft process to contend for the No. 1 pick.

Ward held Sanders off there, and then no one else seemed to want to take Sanders.

The only thing different about his slide from Aaron Rodgers' famous draft slide at this point is that Sanders wasn't in the green room.

It worked out OK for Rodgers. Maybe it will for Sanders, too.

But on Thursday night, things had to be feeling pretty tough for Shedeur.
