Steelers' Aaron Rodgers free agent pursuit takes a confusing turn in Pittsburgh image

The Pittsburgh Steelers' pursuit of Aaron Rodgers isn't over yet.

For reasons probably only known to Rodgers, he hasn't yet signed a free agent contract to be the quarterback in Pittsburgh.

And as you might expect, people with the Steelers are starting to get a little confused.

NFL insider Josina Anderson gave an update on the "vibe" in Pittsburgh via a post on X.

"The vibe? I would say it feels a little weird here," Anderson's source said. "The running joke around here right now is 'who's going to be our quarterback?' Now, I wouldn't say there's any panic though; but the current QB depth says what it says."

That sounds about right, although it's certainly a brutal spot for the Steelers to be in.

The other veteran quarterbacks are getting signed. Russell Wilson went to the Giants. Joe Flacco just signed with the Browns.

If for some reason Rodgers didn't end up with Pittsburgh, the remaining free agent options are led by Carson Wentz and Drew Lock.

The Steelers also just hosted Shedeur Sanders, who would be an option at pick No. 21 if he slides.

Pittsburgh has also been linked to Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart in some mock drafts.

Regardless of what happens, this has been a weird offseason for the Steelers. Wh oknows where it will all end up?
