Aaron Rodgers makes announcement on marital status after month-long mystery image

New Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers sparked marriage rumors back in May after he was spotted with what looked to be a wedding ring on his finger.

The Steelers quarterback was then spotted with the ring again in photos of him signing his contract, so naturally he was asked about it during his first media availability in Pittsburgh.

Rodgers, who made his practice debut at Steelers mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, finally spilled the beans and admitted that he is indeed married, and has been for a few months.

"It's a wedding ring," Rodgers said, before revealing that he's been married for "a couple of months."

So, who's the lucky lady?

Well, we can't say for sure, but Rodgers did reveal in a podcast last December that he was dating a woman named Brittani. We don't have more details beyond that, though.

Rodgers signed a one-year, $13.65 million contract with the Steelers after months of mulling his next move.

The future Hall of Fame quarterback said he was dealing with personal issues that led to him taking extra time on a decision — and clearly getting hitched took up some of his time, also.

But, as Rodgers revealed to his teammates on Tuesday in a team meeting, he's now ready to be all in on the Steelers.

"He talked today and said he's all in from now on," second-year center Zach Frazier said of Rodgers, per Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Rodgers has a tall task in front of him.

The Steelers haven't won a playoff game in many years and are looking to get over the hump in 2025. The hope is that Rodgers will be an upgrade over Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, and his history would suggest he will be.

However, Rodgers is also set to turn 42 in December, so it's difficult to gauge if the Steelers will be getting anything close to the best version of him.
