PSU alum Micah Parsons' brother reveals his feelings on trade rumor for Cowboys star image

Penn State University alum Micah Parsons has become a subject of intense speculation on trade rumors after he requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys, who have played it slow in terms of awarding him a contract extension this summer. With his rookie contract expiring after this season, Parsons would like to leverage his playing time to force an extension out of Jerry Jones. But the Cowboys owner has remained unbothered during the summer camps regarding the trade request.

Amid this, a trade rumor is doing the rounds over X, tying Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in a "serious trade offer." However, Parsons' older brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., laughed off the speculation.

"😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂," he reacted.

"It’s just laughable to think Micah getting traded," he added.

The Cowboys hold all the cards currently. Even though Parsons has requested a trade, he remains under contractual obligations. The Cowboys can extend the team control for two more years through the franchise tag. But that may damage their relationship with their defensive stalwart and he may not give his best on the field.

Earlier on Wednesday, Jerry Jones indirectly said that he expects Parsons to play out the remainder of his contract, which means he wants him to suit up in the season opener against the Eagles. That may or may not necessarily mean that a contract extension is along the way. For Parsons, not much is in his hands other than leverage his playing time for an extension.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops in the coming days. Maybe a trade is in the works already.
