The 2023 XFL season will feature a combined 43 games throughout the regular season and playoffs — including several games that will be carried on the FX Network.

Considering that Walt Disney bought 21st Century Fox in May 2019, that means the FX Network is now part of the Disney lineup alongside the ABC family of networks (ABC, ESPN and ESPN2). That said, the addition of live sporting events to FX Network is only a recent development, and may warrant channel searches for viewers who don't typically watch it.

If football fans want to watch the full 2023 XFL slate, they'll need to know where to watch FX, which carries 15 games this season — more than any other individual channel that will carry league games. ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 will combine for 29 games this season.

How to live stream XFL games

ESPN+ will simulcast each of the 43 XFL games this season, regardless of whether the game takes place on the ESPN family of networks or FX. Other options include fuboTV, which offers a free trial.

When does XFL start in 2023?

  • Date: Saturday, Feb. 18

The 2023 XFL season starts with the season-opening slate on Saturday, Feb. 18 and ends with the championship game on Saturday, May 13. The season will comprise 10 weeks, a semifinal playoff round and the season-ending championship game.

2023 XFL games on FX

FX will carry 15 XFL games, starting with one game in Week 1 and multiple games in Weeks 2 through 7. The network won't carry any more games from that point on, as ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC will carry the remainder of the 2023 season in Weeks 8, 9 and 10 as well as the two playoff rounds.
