Former Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle received a huge compliment recently from Miami Dolphins great Mark Clayton.

Clayton, as some may recall, was part of the famous wide receiver duo of the Mark’s Brothers (the other being Mark Duper) who played with Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino back in the 1980s for the Dolphins.

Clayton was recently asked in an interview on The Fins Faithful Podcast what he thought about Waddle and Tyreek Hill.

He said Waddle’s game reminded him of himself.

“Not that I don't love Hill's game as much as Waddle’s, but I love Waddle's game. Waddle's game reminds me so much of my own with a little more speed, he’s much faster than I was.”

Clayton added, "If I’m going to say one of the two, you know, who I think patterns their game after mine, I would have to say Waddle.”

Clayton clarified his earlier statement about Hill, but he wasn’t a fan of how Hill handled himself at the end of last year.

“Hill is no slouch,” he said, but then he added, “Your mouth can say anything, but your actions speak louder than words.” “I think you win your teammates back through your actions, not your words. And he should remember this at all times as an NFL player: You don’t play for anybody except the 10 other guys out there on the field. You play for them. You don’t play for yourself.”

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa made a similar comment earlier this week about Hill, which led many to believe that Hill has lost the trust of his teammates, and Clayton’s comments all but confirmed that.

It seems that Hill has a long way to go to regain the respect and the trust of his Dolphins teammates after his outburst at the end of last season.
