The New York Jets have one of the best running backs in the NFL on their roster in fourth-year pro Breece Hall. They just haven't figured out the right way to use him in recent seasons.
Perhaps that was an Aaron Rodgers problem. Maybe it was just the result of a longer-than-expected recovery from Hall's 2022 knee injury. But now that the former second-round pick is in his contract year, the Jets appear ready to see exactly what he can do.
At least, it seems like that's new head coach Aaron Glenn's plan.

Glenn has hinted all offseason at Breece Hall being used more as a receiver. And while there's been speculation that Gang Green will use a committee approach with Braelon Allen, Hall's elite upside should result in him getting the lion's share of the workload.
Hall ended last season with 876 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged the fewest yards per carry (4.2) of his career.
Expect that to change in 2025, especially with Justin Fields at quarterback. The threat of Fields as a runner should open even wider rushing lanes for Breece Hall to exploit.
The only downside to Hall's projected monster year? His next contract won't come cheap for the New York Jets.
