The New York Giants have a long list of new names added to the roster this offseason, most notably at quarterback, where Russell Wilson will take over as the starter for Big Blue.

But in a recent breakdown of every team's most dangerous offseason addition, it wasn't Wilson who took the title. Instead, it was another dude in the QB room: rookie Jaxson Dart.

"Maybe Dart does need extensive time on the bench to help in his development," Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski wrote. "But the cries for the rookie to start will begin the second that Wilson and/or Winston struggle. Once Dart is in the lineup, there's no looking back, because the Giants are banking on him to be "the guy" and possibly save jobs among the front office and coaching staff."

While I'd argue that Abdul Carter is the Giants' most dangerous addition this offseason -- there's no doubt opposing QBs will feel that way -- selecting Dart does make some sense.

Dart's skill set as an equal parts passer and runner makes him unique in the New York Giants' quarterback room. Wilson's days as a scrambler are behind him, and Jameis Winston runs like he's stuck in quicksand. It's why Dart, if he ever gets a chance to play with the starters early in the season, will look like the most explosive and exciting quarterback the Giants have fielded since... Daniel Jones (too soon?).

Whenever an NFL team trades back into the first round of the NFL Draft to select a quarterback, the cries for that QB to start grow louder with each loss. And with the Giants having the NFL's toughest schedule in 2025, losses are expected in bunches.
