Yes, it was a dart.

Jaxson Dart's first NFL touchdown pass came in his preseason debut Saturday in Buffalo. The New York Giants rookie delivered a dime down the left sideline to Lil'Jordan Humphrey (who is a big dude).

It was a great start to the Dart era.

The Giants sought out Dart in the draft. They traded back into the first round to take Dart 25th overall out of Ole Miss.

It's a crowded quarterback room. Russell Wilson is expected to start, and Jameis Winston is also there.

It's probably the perfect spot for Dart to be. He can learn from two veterans who have been there and done that.

The Giants haven't decided yet if Dart will be QB2 or QB3 to start the season.

But more importantly, he's the quarterback of the future.

And on a sunny, hot Saturday in western New York, Dart had his first touchdown.

Giants fans hope it'll be the first of many, many more.
