It hasn't taken long for New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo to start making plays at training camp.

During Wednesday's first practice, Skattebo caught a swing pass from backup QB Jameis Winston for a touchdown, showcasing his pass-catching chops and ability to be a three-down back.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, Skattebo finds himself in a best-case scenario for his rookie season. While he certainly would've preferred being picked earlier than Round 4, he landed on a Giants roster with a starting running back gig that's ripe for the taking.

Second-year pro Tyrone Tracy will get the first crack at the job, but Skattebo's combination of between-the-tackles power and receiving ability suggests he can be a bell cow NFL running back.

Cam Skattebo finished his final season at Arizona State with 293 carries for 1,711 yards and 21 touchdowns. He added 45 catches for 605 yards and three scores as a receiver.
