The Patriots have been one of the most widely discussed teams in the NFL ahead of the 2025 campaign. Everyone – even football fans and analysts outside of New England — seems to expect the Drake Maye-led squad to take a big leap under new head coach and former Patriots linebacker Mike Vrabel. The Pats brought in Stefon Diggs and fellow former Bills wideout Mack Hollins and also drafted Kyle Williams. Running game help? Drafting TreVeyon Henderson seems like a good start. Defensive upgrades? Milton Williams, Robert Spillane and Carlton Davis should improve all three levels of the Patriots' defense.
This might not be a team that's ready to challenge Buffalo in the AFC East. However, it's a team that will be much more competitive in 2025, and the collective excitement level for the start of this Pats' campaign has plenty of merit.
